Spring it On! This Easter period represented the end of the first full year I have focussed exclusively on leading O Shaped. It’s been a joy. The 12 months have flown by, filled with meeting great people, working with our great partners in legal education, law firms and in-house and generally just enjoying a completely different work and life experience from more than 20 years in large corporate settings. There have been so many highlights. Our partnerships with Barbri, College of Legal Practice, BPP, Damar, Browne Jacobson and most recently Dentons mean we are working closely with leading players across the industry. Our campaign for a profession that is better for those who are in it, those who use it and those who are entering it, is gaining more and more momentum. The support from the in-house community is critical to our campaign for change and is growing, particularly int the US now following the publication of our GC report last month. It’s giving O Shaped the platform to influence across the entire sector. So once again, I find myself saying thank you. Thank you to all of you who have supported O Shaped, been champions for our cause and have given your time, energy and commitment over the last 12 months. It means the world. Most of all, thank you to the Steering Board so expertly chaired by Catherine Baker and to our Future Board whose own mission to build a community for junior legal professionals is underway and gaining traction. Enjoy the rest of the Oracle which has some wonderful highlights from the last few months for O Shaped. I am especially excited to welcome Pascale Rahman to the Oracle for her Q&A where she talks about the importance of ‘people first’ and how in-house teams can play an active role in creating better business outcomes.
