African Corporate and Government Counsel Forum

Cynthia Adaora Lareine is a UK-qualified solicitor (EU Competition) who has spent her career working across the legal ecosystem, with a particular focus on in-house counsel, law firms, and the people who lead them.

She is Director and Co-founder of the African Corporate & Government Counsel Forum (ACGC), the largest in-house legal community in Africa. Founded eight years ago, ACGC connects over 3,000 in-house counsel and legal leaders across more than 40 countries. Cynthia’s focus has been on creating trusted spaces for peer learning, cross-border connection, and practical capability-building that reflects the realities of modern in-house legal roles. Alongside ACGC, Cynthia leads Lareine Gold Consulting (LGC Africa), where she works with law firms and legal teams on growth strategy, relationship development, and content-led business development. Her work sits at the intersection of law, technology, and relationships, with an emphasis on helping teams move from intention to consistent execution.

Her work is grounded in a belief that the legal profession is strongest when people learn, lead, and lift one another. Cynthia is a committed community builder, best known for connecting people, ideas, and opportunity, and for supporting learning and capability across the legal profession.
