Helen is General Counsel for UK & Ireland at AtkinsRéalis, a global engineering services and nuclear organisation, whose purpose is to engineer a better future for our planet and its people.  Helen started her career as a commercial litigator and since moving in-house has worked primarily within the engineering and design sector, as well as in healthcare managed services and procurement.  Helen is also a STEM School Governor and Climate Ambassador at a local primary school where she has the privilege of working with teachers to help inspire the next generation to see the magic and opportunity in studying STEM subjects.

A future-focused, strategic thinker, Helen is passionate about building cognitively diverse, future-fit, legal teams that are fun to work with, ambassadors for the legal profession and ready to solve tomorrow’s problems.   She aspires to be as smart and “O” shaped as the lawyers around her and, people leadership aside, the best part of her job is creating and communicating a clear vision for the legal team that aligns with business strategy.  Success for Helen is being able to pay her fortune forward and be the shoulders for the next generation to stand on, ensuring that the legal profession continues to evolve and inspire.
