Stephanie Pasquill

Vodafone

Steph is a lawyer whose work blends legal expertise with creativity and empathy. A self-described “frustrated creative”, she has quietly shaped her career around making legal experiences more usable, creative, and human.

Her legal experience spans litigation, corporate, and consumer law, across City firms including Simmons & Simmons and listed companies, with work in Hong Kong, Singapore, Zürich, and Boston, and time living in Amsterdam and Alabama (yes, Alabama!). Together, these experiences shaped a mindset grounded in curiosity and adaptability.

Creativity has always run alongside her legal career. A visual thinker and compulsive doodler, Steph uses design principles to navigate complexity and improve understanding. She has drawn legal resources, including for Lawyers Against Poverty, illustrated a children’s book, and applies the same creative mindset to her legal work. This instinct led her into legal design and innovation, where she has hosted workshops, spoken at events such as Legal Tech Talk, Legal Transformation Summit, and Legal Tech in the South West and contributed to the Legal Design Summit in Helsinki, the world’s largest non-profit legal design event, first as a volunteer and later as a co-lead.

With over ten years in-house at Vodafone, Steph has worked across corporate, transformation, and consumer teams, supporting major brand sponsorships in rugby, tennis, and music festivals (think Glastonbury and Wimbledon!), negotiating indirect retail contracts, and leading Vodafone’s first UK legal design project (“Project Dracula’) to re‘vamp’ consumer contracts.

Having studied zoology and psychology before law, Steph has a long-standing interest in animals and sustainability. This has shown up in her pro bono work for the UK Centre for Animal Law, acting as a trustee of Hypo Hounds (a diabetic assistance dog charity), early work for Legal Response International on climate negotiations, involvement with Lawyers for Net Zero (now GCS Forum), and support for Vodafone’s Sustainable Business team. She is also a qualified coach and mentor, and brings her so-called “labrador energy” to everything she does.

Put simply, Steph is fuelled by a passion for design, doodles, dogs, and dim sum.
