Placida Ojinnaka

Placida Uzoamaka Ojinnaka is a qualified lawyer and social worker with extensive experience in mental health, disability, equity, diversity, and inclusion. She has crafted a portfolio career as a senior panel and committee member, working across local and central government, healthcare regulation, patient safety, education, disability accessibility, and racial justice. Her active involvement on advisory committees for the Law Society of England & Wales includes campaigning for greater awareness and support of disabled legal professionals. Placida regularly speaks at webinars, offering insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by disabled women in politics and law, drawing on her lived experiences to advocate for disability rights and anti-discrimination.
Serving as a board-level director at The Black Solicitors Network, Placida excels at networking and promoting opportunities for Black legal professionals. In 2025, she joined the Junior Legal Fellowship Programme as a committee member, further demonstrating her commitment to supporting the next generation of legal professionals. She is recognised for her ability to lead organisational change and collaborate effectively with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds. Since 2012, Placida has also contributed as a Primary School Governor, providing expertise in education law and championing disability awareness within schools. Her dedication to equality, inclusion, and justice is evident throughout her multifaceted career.
